Sharp cheddar meets buttery Castelvetrano olives, fresh citrus peel, thyme, our fan-fave Amore Seasoning, and a hint of garlic, all bathed in small-batch Italian olive oil for a silky, flavorful finish!

  • Ingredients

    4 oz sharp white cheddar - cut into 1 inch cubes

    1 cup Castelvetrano green olives

    1 thin slice of fresh orange or lime peel

    2 sprigs fresh thyme

    1 ½ tsp Spicewalla Amore Italian Seasoning 

    1 clove garlic, smashed 

    1 tsp fresh lime juice

    1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

    1 cup Spicewalla x Le Vigne Extra Virgin Olive Oil

    Preparation

    1. In a 16 oz. wide-mouthed glass jar, add half of the cheese and olives.
    2. Add the orange peel, thyme, spices, and garlic. Add the remaining cheese and olives, and pour olive oil over the top to fully cover them.
    3. Tightly close the jar and gently turn the jar over a couple of times. 
    4. Refrigerate overnight before serving. Set out a couple of hours before to bring the olive oil back to room temp (you can quickly run under warm water to expedite the process)!
    5. Situate the olives and cheese cubes in a checkerboard design and pour the marinated olive oil over the board! 
    6. Enjoy!
