jal jeera masala (you can find some at your local indian grocery store! Spicewalla chaat masala would also work in a pinch!)
2 oz tequila
2 oz cointreau
2 oz lime juice
1/4 tsp Spicewalla Roasted Cumin Powder
1/4 tsp Spicewalla fennel seed (or fennel powder)
simple syrup to taste
Add coarse salt and jal jeera masala to a shallow bowl or plate. run a wedge of lime along the rim of a glass and dip the rim into the coarse salt until well covered.
If using fennel seeds, grind them into a powder.
Add tequila, cointreau, lime juice, roasted cumin powder, fennel powder, simple syrup, and ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 15 seconds and strain into the jal jeera rimmed glass. Garnish the glass with a lime wedge and enjoy!
