Ingredients
Time: 20 minutes
Yield: 3 servings
1 pound ground pork
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tsp Spicewalla Ground Ginger
1 Tbs Sriracha or Sambal Oelek Chilli Paste
2 Tbs soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp rice wine vinegar
2 tsp Spicewalla Chinese Five Spice
1 tsp vegetable or canola oil
Scallions, thinly sliced for garnish
Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Carrots, julienned for garnish
1/2 head red cabbage leaves
Preparation
1. In a mixing bowl combine pork, garlic, ginger, sriracha, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, and Chinese Five Spice, stir to distribute evenly and set aside.
2. Heat canola or vegetable oil in a saute pan over high heat. Add pork and cook, stirring and breaking up frequently for about 5 minutes, until it has rendered some fat and is browned. Remove from heat.
3. To assemble: Spoon pork mixture into a cabbage leaf and top with carrots, scallions and cilantro. Enjoy!
Delicious, added some diced water chestnuts and fresh sweet corn for texture and a hint of sweet. SO good.
