Five Spice Pork Cabbage Wraps

Five Spice Pork Cabbage Wraps

We've all had our fair share of lettuce wraps, but have you ever tried a cabbage wrap? The sturdy, crunchy cabbage leaves hold up much better than lettuce and give you more crunch in each bite! We seasoned our ground pork mixture with the warming, spicy notes of our Chinese Five Spice featuring cinnamon, clove, fennel, star anise and peppercorn. This dish comes together quickly and will make you feel like a real kitchen wiz! Don't have ground pork? You can sub ground chicken or turkey!

Preparation

  1.  In a mixing bowl combine pork, garlic, ginger, sriracha, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, and Chinese Five Spice, stir to distribute evenly and set aside.
  2.  Heat canola or vegetable oil in a saute pan over high heat. Add pork and cook, stirring and breaking up frequently for about 5 minutes, until it has rendered some fat and is browned. Remove from heat.

  • Delicious, added some diced water chestnuts and fresh sweet corn for texture and a hint of sweet. SO good.
