6 mint leaves, plus more for garnish
2 teaspoons simple sugar syrup
- Dissolve 1/2 cup of sugar into 1/2 cup of water to create your simple sugar syrup.
- Fill an 8-10 ounce glass with crushed ice (about 1 cup.)
- Add mint, sugar syrup, and bourbon and bruise mint with the back of a spoon.
- Stir everything together, and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.
