Bartender spotlight: Naomi Olsen-Zelman

Growing up in Pennsylvania, Naomi's childhood was full of Nordic traditions and memories from her father who moved from Norway when he was only 12. Even though her grandmother, (or bestemor), moved the family from Oslo, she kept her culture and family traditions alive. Making Glogg was one of them.

While Naomi moved to Asheville to pave her own way in life just as her Bestemor did so many years before her, she still makes her “Bestemor Glogg” every holiday season in honor of the heritage she’s so proud of.
