If you're looking for a quick, easy, and filling dinner in-a-pinch, look no further than these Carne Asada Steak Fajitas! This simple recipe will not only impress any guest, it's sure to add some sizzle to mealtime! Limited prep and clean up means that steak (or chicken!) fajitas might be a regular in your weeknight din din repertoire!

Ingredients

1 pound strip or skirt steak, cut into 1/2 inch strips

2 Tbsp Spicewalla Carne Asada Rub

2 Tbsp neutral cooking oil, we used avocado

2-3 small bell peppers, sliced into thin strips

1 small yellow onion, sliced into thin strips

1/2 lime

6-8 flour tortillas (can substitute corn tortillas if preferred)

Sour cream and guacamole for serving.

Preparation

  1. In a mixing bowl, add the steak strips and the Carne Asada rub. Toss to coat thoroughly.
  2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the steak and sear for about 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Add sliced peppers, onions and the juice of 1/2 lime. Saute for an additional 3-5 minutes or until the onions have started to become translucent and the peppers have softened slightly. 
  4. Remove pan from the heat and serve immediately with warm tortillas, sour cream and guacamole. 
  5. Enjoy!
